Early Bird Program:

The Hoopeston American Legion hosts an annual Early Bird evening in October at the post home. The evening is in appreciation for those that have paid their dues either prior to or the evening of the event. Regular members, Sons of the American Legion, Veteran Social Members: as well as, social members are welcome to attend. A traditional holiday meal is served. The event is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary who work very hard to give all the Early Birders a wonderful meal and a fun time.

December 20, 1989 to January 31, 1990 (Panama Incursion)
August 24, 1982 to July 31, 1984 (Lebanon and Grenada)
February 28, 1961 to May 7, 1975 (Vietnam War)
June 25, 1950 to January 31, 1955 (Korean War)
December 7, 1941 to December 31, 1946 (WWII)
April 6, 1917 to November 11, 1918 (WWI)
